COPIES OF CRIME REPORTS
Only victims and/or insurance companies can receive a copy of a crime report.
Insurance companies may obtain a copy of a crime report under the following circumstances:
There is personal injury and an insurance company represents the interest of the victim.
Property is stolen and/or damaged.
Reports will consist of the face page only, and will not include statements.
COST OF CRIME REPORTS
Victim's copies are free.
Insurance companies should contact the records clerk for further information.
COPIES OF ACCIDENT REPORTS
Either party involved in the accident may request a copy of an accident report. The cost is $30.00 per report.
Insurance companies may also request a copy of an accident report. The cost is $30.00 research fee and $0.25 per page. Insurance companies and persons requesting a copy of the report should contact the records clerk for further information.
COPIES OF ARREST REPORTS
Persons requesting copies of arrest reports must submit their requests to the Attorney General's Office in Georgetown at (302) 856-5353, or for Criminal Histories, call (302) 739-4794.
REQUESTS FOR FINGERPRINTING
Persons wishing to be fingerprinted must bring their fingerprint cards to the Rehoboth Beach Police Department, pay a fee of $30.00, and an officer will copy their fingerprints onto the cards. All other fingerprint requests must be handled through the Delaware State Police, State Bureau of Identification in Dover, DE.
